Museo de las Culturas Aborígenes
El museo cuenta con unas 5.000 piezas en exhibición al público, que corresponden a todos los períodos de la historia aborigen del Ecuador, constituyéndose así en el Museo Arqueológico más completo de la ciudad de Cuenca y de la región.

Museo Manuel Agustín Landívar
Este es un museo de sitio, ubicado en el sector de Todos Santos, lugar en el que coexisten vestigios arqueológicos de diversos períodos históricos: cultura cañari, incásica y molinos de piedra construidos por los españoles. En el museo se pueden encontrar piezas que dan testimonio de estas tres culturas.

Museo de Las Conceptas
El museo se ha instalado en lo que fue la enfermería del Convento de Claustro de las Madres Conceptas, construido entre 1682 y 1729, en sus salas se puede apreciar la vida cotidiana de estas mujeres, así como piezas de arte religioso y objetos utilitarios de la época.

Museo del CIDAP (Centro Interamericano de Artes y Artesanías Populares)
En este lugar se puede apreciar una singular colección de arte popular americano. Cuenta también con un almacén de artesanía popular selecta.

Museo Remigio Crespo Toral
En este museo se guarda el archivo Municipal de Historia de la Ciudad de Cuenca con todos sus tratados, convenios, cartas, etc., sobre los que la ciudad se ha edificado. Además el local del Museo es una de las casas patrimoniales de la ciudad, ubicada en el Barranco.

Museo de Arte Moderno
El Museo Municipal de Arte Moderno, funciona en el local de la antigua Casa de la Temperancia, la misma que fue restaurada entre 1976 y 1981. En el mismo se ofrecen exposiciones temporales de arte moderno y contemporáneo, pudiendo encontrarse en él obras en exhibición permanente que pertenecen al patrimonio del museo.

Museo de Historia de la Medicina
En el local que fue la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Cuenca y el antiguo hospital de la ciudad, se encuentra permanentemente una exposición sobre la trayectoria médica en la ciudad. La riqueza de la edificación le da un ambiente único a este museo ubicado junto al Hospital Militar.

Museo de la Identidad Cañari
Su muestra contiene piezas arqueológicas de origen precolombino de la cultura cañari desde el período Narrio hasta la llegada de los Incas. Adicionalmente existe una colección de arte constituida por pinturas y esculturas coloniales del siglo XVIII y XIX; cuadros costumbristas de procedencia cuencana y piezas etnográficas.

Museo Taller del Sombrero – El Barranco
Es un espacio en el que se ha recreado un taller de compostura, donde se exhiben las herramientas utilizadas para la transformación de la paja toquilla. Adicionalmente en la fábrica de sombreros se puede apreciar el proceso de elaboración del sombrero.

Museo Zoológico Amaru
El zoológico mantiene y expone más de 120 especies de animales vivos, la mayor parte nativos del Ecuador. Su objetivo es la educación, exhibición, recreación e investigación de los recursos naturales, especialmente de los peces, anfibios y reptiles.

Museo de Esqueletología
La colección cuenta con osamentas de más de 150 especies de animales nativos, entre peces, anfibios, reptiles, aves, y mamíferos nativos. La exposición de esqueletos, está resaltada mediante dioramas y recreaciones del medio ambiente físico en el que se desarrolla cada especie.

Museo Arqueológico Universitario

Museo del Colegio Nacional Benigno Malo
Las instalaciones del museo forman parte de una de las edificaciones más emblemáticas de la ciudad. Las colecciones del museo constan de dos secciones: Ciencias Naturales y Arqueología, cada una de ellas con su propia área de exposición.

Museum Of The Aboriginal Cultures

Manuel Agustín Landivar Museum
This is a site museum located in the quarter of Todos Santos. It shows the archeological vestiges of several historical periods: Cañari Culture, Inca Culture, stone mills built by the Spanish. Pieces that testify these three cultures can be found in this museum.

Museum Of Las Conceptas
The museum has been placed in the building that used to be the hospital of the Monastery of the Cloister of the Conceptas Nuns. It was built between 1682 and 1729. The everyday life of these women as well as the pieces of religious art and utilitarian objects of that period of time, can be appreciated in its rooms which have been preserved exactly as they used to be.

Museum Of CIDAP (Inter-American Center Of Popular Arts)
In this place a singular collection of American popular art can be seen. It also has a store of selected popular handicrafts.

Remigio Crespo Toral Museum
The Municipal Archive of History of the City of Cuenca and all its treaties, covenants, letters, etc. concerning the development of the city is kept in this museum.
The building of this Museum is one of the houses belonging to the World Heritage Site; it is located in the Barranco.

Museum Of Modern Art
The Municipal Museum of Modern Art is pleced in the old Temperance House, which was restored between 1976 and 1981. Temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art are offered in this museum, finding in permanent exhibition some works of art that belong to the heritage of the museum.
It is open from Monday to Friday, from 08h30 to 13h00 and from 15h00 to 18h30. On Saturday and Sunday it is open from 09h00 to 13h00.

Museum Of Medical History
This museum is located in the old School of Medicine of the University of Cuenca and the former hospital of the city. It shows a permanent exhibition about the medical trajectory in the city. The wealth of the building gives this museum a unique environment.
It is located on 12 de Abril Avenue, next to the Military Hospital.
It is open from Monday to Friday, from 08h30 to 12h00 and from 13h30 to 17h00.

Museum Of The Cañari Identity
It samples include archeological pieces of pre-Columbian origin of the Cañari culture, from the Narrio period to the arrival of the Incas. Additionally, there is a collection of art constituted by colonial paintings and sculptures of the 18th and 19th centuries; pictures of manners from Cuenca and ethnographic pieces.

Museum-Workshop Of The Hat – El Barranco
It is a space where a mending workshop has been created in which the tools used for the transformation of straw are shown. Additionally, there is a factory of hats where the process of hat making can be observed.

Museum-Zoo Amaru
The zoo keeps and exhibits more than 120 species of live animals, most of them are natives of Ecuador. Their object is the education, exhibition, recreation and research of natural resources, especially of fish, amphibian and reptiles.

Museum Of Skeletons
The collection consists of skeletons of more than 150 species of native animals, among fish, amphibian, reptiles, birds and native mammals. The exhibition of skeletons is remarked by dioramas and representations of the physical environment in which the species are developed.

Museum Of The Benigno Malo National
High School
The facilities of the Museum are part of one of the most representative buildings in the city. The collections of the museum consist of two sections: Natural and Archeological Sciences, both of them with their own exhibition area.
